Managing the Fear of Cancer Recurrence: A Psychoeducational Presentation
A 90-minute workshop at Wellness House on Thursday, April 2, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm offers cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers an evidence-based approach to understanding and managing fear of cancer recurrence. Drawing on clinical, sport, performance, and oncology psychology, the session teaches practical cognitive, behavioral, and mindfulness strategies to reduce anxiety, build tolerance for uncertainty, and strengthen daily coping skills. The workshop features interactive skill practice and collaborative communication tools to support individual resilience and caregiver engagement.
This workshop features eight interactive evidence-based graphics — including the FCR cycle, ACT hexaflex, window of tolerance, and a step-by-step coping toolkit — available to explore before, during, and after the session.
